…. and for many of us, not just temperatures in the weather!  We’ve reached that part of the academic year when suddenly there just seems to be so much that must be done before the end of the academic year and probably still so much to plan and budget for the long school holidays.  So I hope this quick reminder will keep you in control and smiling!

We all feel overwhelmed at times, that is completely normal and natural.  When you feel it is all getting too much, that is the time to stop.  Take a big breath and a mental step back.  Have a look at what you are juggling – and write it down.  Write it down as your To Do list and if it helps, apply the Traffic Light system I have written about in the past.  This is so simple – and so it works.

RED – URGENT OR IMPORTANT TASKS

AMBER – FOCUS ON NEXT, OUGHT TO BE DONE TODAY

GREEN – TURN TO THESE JOBS WHEN RED AND AMBER ARE COMPLETE

Having sorted out in your mind and on paper what you can REALISTICALLY achieve in the time you have available, work through your list one by one.  Focus on what you are doing at the time, safe in the knowledge that your To Do list is holding at bay all that ‘white noise’ in your mind (distracting thoughts of what else you have to do) and just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

I hope that helps but if that is not enough support then please do call me.  07961 080513.  Together we can build a plan to see you through the next few weeks calmly, in control and productively.
